This year, Zara Blackmore became the first to receive the bursary. We caught up with her 6-months on.
Here is how Zara has invested her £250…
“In the past 6 months, my £250 has been split across two purchases. The first portion went towards a new laptop to facilitate my learning, which is now predominately online, so having a good working laptop was essential.
The rest went towards my trailer test (which I will take after Covid-19). I feel this an essential qualification to have for someone aiming to go into Agriculture as a career. This will enable me to become more employable when applying for jobs, whilst also helping me with my own livestock business at home.
I am very grateful to Meadow Quality – the £250 has given me access to further my learning both academically and through practical skills.”
We wish Zara all the best with her ongoing education and look forward to welcoming her to the industry after graduation.
