Meadow Quality have been busy throughout the summer with sponsoring classes during the show season.
We started off in July at Great Eccleston Show sponsoring one of the Limousin classes; Cow with or without calf at foot, where our fieldsman Matthew Banks went to hand out the awards.
Will Burden represented Meadow Quality at Ashby Show as we sponsored the commercial beef champion and reserve champion as well as Supreme and reserve supreme breed champion.
August arrived and this was a jam packed month for Meadow Quality, making a start with Burwarton Show sponsoring both of the Young Handler classes; both classes were well attended by the future generation.
The Friday was Fishguard Show in Wales where we had a stand promoting Meadow Quality where two of our fieldsman, Adrian Bowen and Alun Thomas attended meeting and greeting new and current customers.
Tenbury Show was the last show to a busy week where we sponsored the Hereford Society’s ‘Bull born on or before 31st August 2017’. The winner of this class was won by the Lewis family and their bull Haven Lamborghini.
Our fieldsman, Alun Thomas, attended Pembrokeshire Show where he awarded the Championship for ‘Any other breed’ where a Blonde Aquitaine heifer won the class.
On the 17th August we supported Eccleshall Young Farmers with their Speed Shearing event which proved a huge success with around 1,500 attending donating a minimum of £2 as an entry fee. All the money was donated to three charities chosen by the club, these where Midlands Air Ambulance, Stroke Association and RABI.
Our last sponsorship event of the month was National Young Stars where we sponsored all the under 16 classes, Trimmed Sheep, Untrimmed Sheep, Beef, Dual Purpose/Untrimmed Cattle and pigs. We also sponsored the Best Marketing and Presentation Stand which was won by a team of three girls calling themselves the Rocking Romney Team. There where around 100 young people between the age of 8 and 26 where they have a variety of competitions including stock judging, show preparation, industry knowledge and public speaking.
