Grants Avalible For Calf Milk Pasteuriser and Dispenser.

The RDPE Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme provides funding for farmers to purchase equipment that will help towards their business; including livestock, dairy, arable and horticultural. The Round 2 of CPSG has a list of 26 new items, in Annex 3, that farmers can now apply for that have been identified by industry groups and suppliers as a way of improving either:

  • Technical efficiency
  • Animal health and welfare
  • Resource efficiency
  • Nutrient management

This is including the Calf Milk Pasteuriser and Dispenser.

The specification to claim the grant for this specific equipment is as stated in the handbook ‘Mobile colostrum/waste milk pasteuriser and dispenser of minimum of 150litres. With built in mixer, temperature monitoring and remaining volume indicator. Battery powered to aid mobility and milk dispensing.’

 

You must register with the Rural Payment service to apply for the CPSG. If you have already registered make sure all the information matches the details given in the application. If you applied for Round 1 you can also apply for Round 2 but the total from both Rounds cannot exceed £12,000. Photographs must be sent after the purchase, as explained in the handbook.

If you are in Cornwall or Isle of Scilly, you can receive up to 50% of the eligible cost.
