Back for its 15th year – Great British Beef week will be commencing on the 23rd of April. This is a week dedicated to appreciating the amazing taste and versatility of British beef, whilst taking time to acknowledge the farmers who put in the hard work and dedication to produce it. 👨🌾👩🌾 Founded by Ladies in Beef (LiB) and supported by AHDB (the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board) and many others. The campaign encourages people to ‘re-invent’ the classic Sunday Roast and put their own twist on the meal, alongside this farmer’s share their stories and family history in farming in hopes to educate those who aren’t involved in the industry 🐄.
Not only is this campaign founded by women in a male dominant industry, but it gives the farmers a platform to showcase the dedication that goes into creating the food in our shops. Whilst mainstream tv doesn’t normally cover events like these, last year it received media coverage from many channels such as BBC and ITV – Reaching around 18 million people!! Alongside this the Celebration caught the eye of ‘influencer’ chefs and as they created their own #BeefWeek content it brought in even more views.
